Southern Belle Cream Calico£ 6.50
This is the nicest, softest, finest calico I’ve ever found, and it works as a perfect background for appliqué, hand or machine, you’ll just love it if you haven’t tried it before. It has a higher thread count than cheaper calicos, and the seed husks have been totally removed so you don’t see the tiny flecks in the weave. Osnaberg£ 6.50
This fabric is beautiful as a background for any stitcheries or Folk Art style appliqué. It has a coarser, more open weave and thicker threads than calico, which gives it a particular rustic charm.
