Mosaic Builder Jamie (Webmaster)

Now here's some fun!

When you're buying fabric in a real quilt shop, the chances are you're carrying around your fabric selections,
and holding them against other fabrics - assessing them for suitability.

Now you can do that online with our "mosaic builder"!

Here's how it works:

1. Firstly, your browser must be Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher - other browsers won't work,
   but you can try - it won't do any harm
2. Place any swatches you want to play with in your basket in the usual way
   Of course, you don't need to buy anything.
   - you could do that now - then come back here by clicking MOSAIC on the departments menu
3. Once your basket contains the swatches you need, just click the big blue link lower down this page

 

Once you're in the Mosaic Builder, here's what to do:

1. You'll see all of the swatches from your basket in a new browser window
2. You can use your mouse to arrange your swatches on the screen
   - press your left button down to "pick up a swatch" them move your mouse, then let the button go
   - you can do this as much as you like
   
3. This process can allow you to explore your creative ideas and assess fabrics for suitability
4. You can overlap swatches, to have them to approximate your design ideas
5. If a swatch is behind another, you can bring it to the front by clicking on it
6. To add more fabrics, just put more in your basket - then go to the Mosaic builder
